GEA Fall 2026 Children’s Resale: Saturday & Sunday September 26th & 27th, 2026

See below for information on shift times, PERKS and job descriptions so you can select the best date/time and position when you sign-up. Thank you in advance for donating your time & efforts!  The GEA Resale would not be successful without our MANY volunteers!

FRIDAY September 25th:

• Shift Time: 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm – Seller Check-In
  • Eligible for BOTH Pre-Shops (Friday night (8pm-10pm) & Sunday morning (9am-10am,1/2 price))
• Shift Time: 8:00 pm – 10:30 pm – Volunteer Pre-Shop Cashiers & Tag Rippers needed!
  • Eligible for the Pre-Shop on Sunday morning (9am-10am,1/2 price)

SATURDAY September 26th:

• Shift Time: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm – all volunteer positions available, various shift times
  • FREE lunch (if working the entire day)
  • Eligible for BOTH Pre-Shops (Friday night (8pm-10pm) & Sunday morning (9am-10am,1/2 price)) 

*Can’t volunteer all day on Saturday? Don’t let that stop you from volunteering! We’ll let you “split a shift with a friend”: either you supply the friend OR we’ll find a friend for you.  The shift will be split as 7:30am-11am and 11am-2pm (each shift is NOT eligible for free lunch)

SUNDAY September 27th:

• Shift Time: 09:30 am – 2:30 pm – all volunteer positions available, various shift times
  • FREE lunch 
  • Eligible for BOTH Pre-Shops (Friday night (8pm-10pm) & Sunday morning (9am-10am,1/2 price)) 
• Shift Time: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm – Seller Check-Out
  • Eligible for BOTH Pre-Shops (Friday night (8pm-10pm) & Sunday morning (9am-10am,1/2 price))

*No “split shifts” on Sunday.

Position Descriptions:

Cashier-tally buyer purchases on an adding machine (skills: 10-key proficient, attention to detail, sitting position)
Tag Ripper-assist Cashier in organizing tags to be tallied (skills: focused attention, standing position)
Tag Room-sort tags from items purchased per seller number (skills: detailed, quiet environment, sitting position)
Security-watch doors, bathrooms, buyers, merchandise (skills: subtlety, attentive to surroundings, both sitting & standing positions)
Clothing Room Attendants-keep clothing and items organized (skills: quick and accurate, standing position) 

Toy Room Attendants-keep items organized (skills: quick and accurate, standing position)
Seller Check-In & Check-Out-direct sellers in an organized manner to drop-off items for the sale or pick-up items after the sale 
Cage Volunteers & Carry-Out-assist buyers with holding their purchases while they shop (skills: organized, move/lift heavy items)

 Seller Drop-Off Assistant-direct sellers to the appropriate rooms for their items or may help sellers move their items to the appropriate rooms (standing position)   

*flexibility is key as we may need to shift volunteers to other position as needed
